I am into professional theater.
I have done plays for different theater companies like 9 WORKS THEATRICAL (Sweet Charity, The Wedding Singer); TRUMPETS (The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe; The Little Mermaid; So David...; Pamilya Maleta and Josepph the Dreamer), REPERTORY PHILIPPINES (A Christmas Carol; Fiddler on the Roof; Disney's Alladdin, Cinderella & Mulan; Hamlet & The Emperor's New Clothes), DULAANG U.P. (Mary Stuart; The Merry Wives of Manila; The Butterfly's Evil Spell; Recoged Esta Voz; Kanjincho;) UPPT (Paalaman sa Calamba as Jose Rizal) among others.
In 2003, I appeared in “Heaven’s Cradle”- an independent film written & directed by Gina Marissa Tagasa-Gil for White Windows. The film bested hundreds of other films from around the world to win the best film feature award at the 2004 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival & the Gold Remi Award at the 2005 World Film Festival in Huston Texas.
I have directed plays for several school & church based theater groups like Grace Christian College's "A Christmas Carol" (2010); MGC New Life Christian Academy’s "Little Drummer Boy", “The Greatest Stories Ever Told”; United Evangelical Church Performers Circle’s “From Out of the Whirlwind”, “Dreamer, What Really Happened to Joseph”, “The Light Brigade” and “Star Quest”; Grace Gospel Church’s “Battle Cry” and “And it Came to Pass…”
As my passion for performing & directing grew stornger, doors of opportunity as a choreographer opened for me. These include works for 9 Works Theatricals’ "The Wedding Singer" and “Songs for a New World”; Repertory Philippines’ “I Love You Because”; Dulaang U.P.’s “Lysistrata”; Philippine Opera Company’s “A Night with the Philippine Opera Company” & “Rhythm of Life”; Chancel Repertory Theater’s “Wee Little Man”; Saint Francis Theater’s production of Maurice Maeterlinck’s “The Blue Bird” among others. He has also been tapped to choreograph for workshops in Trumpets (The Wiz, Little Shop of Horror, Godspell); Repertory Philippines (Footloose, Bend); for various schools & events organizations.
When not playing or directing for the stage, I pursue my passion for teaching. I have taught musical theater, drama, and movement for several schools like Grace Christina College, CCF's The Master's Academy, MGC New-Life, Saint Paul’s Academy-Pasig, Assumption College, Clarion School of Performing Ats & Makati Hope Christian School. I have likewise facilitated workshops for different theater companies like TRUMPETS, Philippines Opera Company, My Talent, Kids Act Philippines Inc. & Chancel Repertory Theater.
